Didn’t work for me. Eggs were runny! Sad
Tried this and my microwave exploded spraying burning egg lava all over the house and then my house fell down. You ruined my life
As written this worked well for me. I tried using older and newer eggs. The older ones are easier to peel!
So glad to hear that, Mary!
Egg exploded my microwave is dead
I wish you had mentioned in the prep portion that ice was required. I definitely didn’t have that on hand when I finished my first set.
Both times, my eggs came out somewhere between raw and runny (I’m not sure how to tell if it’s still raw, but I didn’t get sick, so maybe it was just runny). Also, the shell wouldn’t detach. When I looked at my microwave’s data plate, it says the output power was 850 watts. Could that be the problem? Do you recommend the extra 2-3 minutes for 850W microwaves?
Hi! Yes, you may need to add a couple extra minutes for your microwave.
Waste of money and time. Tried it, followed directions exactly, and ended up with a white sludge and a raw yolk inside the shell. Don’t waste your money on this one.
Egg exploded and blew open the microwave. Fail.
I’ve wasted 7 eggs. Tried 4 eggs the first time they were raw. I thought I must have read the recipe wrong so I went back read the recipe again and tried it with 3 eggs. Exactly the same thing raw eggs . I have 1100 watt Toshiba microwave and have never had a problem. Any suggestions?
I am sorry this did not work for you, Gail. If they are raw inside, you will need to add some cooking time. I would try doing the initial 4 minutes, rest 1 minute, then the second 4 minutes. Then rest for another 1 minute before microwaving for a final 2 to 3 minutes. Hope this helps!
Doz eggs. No salt. Am I just out of luck?
Eggs turned out burnt!
DO NOT DO THIS, THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, YOU WILL BLOW UP THE EGG AND THE HOT WATER AND IT WILL BLAST THE DOOR OUT, SPRAYING SCALDING HOT LIQUIDS AND EGG SOLIDS EVERYWHERE!
