Nutty Buddy bars are tasty snacks made of crispy wafers layered with peanut butter and covered in chocolate. They’re sweet, crunchy, and perfect for satisfying your cravings!

Little Debbie Nutty Buddy bars were created by a company called McKee Foods in the United States.

They started making them a long time ago. Since then, they have become a favorite snack for lots of people who love the combination of peanut butter, chocolate, and crispy wafers.

Ingredients & Substitutions

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for these gluten free Nutty Buddies. Scroll down to the recipe card for full ingredients list and instructions.

First, use gluten free vanilla wafers. If you are not gluten free, feel free to use regular wafers.

Choose all natural creamy peanut butter made from only peanuts and salt. If desired, replace with creamy almond butter or cashew butter. For a nut free option, use sunflower butter.

Dip the bars in melted dark chocolate for a rich flavor. Milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate, and white chocolate work well too.

If desired, sprinkle a little sea salt or some sprinkles on top!

How to Make

Step 1

First, spread peanut butter on the top of each wafer. Place on a parchment lined pan. Place in the fridge or freezer for 10 minutes.
