Step 1
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
Melt the coconut oil in the microwave. Set aside.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, add the coconut sugar and egg. Whisk together.
Step 4
Then, sift in the almond flour. Stir to combine. The batter will be very thick.
Step 5
Add in the creamy almond butter, baking soda, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil. Stir to combine.
Step 6
Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Step 7
Transfer the batter to the lined pan. Smooth into an even layer.
Step 8
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean.
Step 9
Lastly, remove from the oven. Wait until mostly cooled before slicing and serving.
