Recipe Steps

Step 1

Make crust first.  Combine all crust ingredients except butter in a mixing bowl. Then cut in butter.  Dough will be crumbly. Wrap in cling wrap and refrigerate for an hour.

Step 2

Next, preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.  Place chilled dough between two pieces of parchment paper.  Roll out dough into a circle that is 1/4 inch thick.

Step 3

Make the filling. Combine all ingredients and toss to ensure strawberries are coated in the tapioca flour.

Step 4

Remove top piece of parchment paper.  Add strawberry filling to the dough, leaving about an inch around the edges.  Use the bottom piece of parchment paper to help you roll up the sides of the dough.

Step 5

Once all the edges are folded up, make egg wash.  Whisk egg and brush on top of the folded up edges.  Sprinkle with coconut sugar.  Place galette and bottom piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake for 24 to 26 minutes or until edges are golden brown and filling is tender.

Step 7

Lastly, top gluten free galette with desired toppings and serve!
