I love baking and cooking with apples; they’re so versatile and always delicious.  This slow cooker apple butter is made with just a few ingredients and simmers away all day.  Your house will smell amazing!  It’s warm, cozy and so flavorful.  I love having mine with a paleo English muffin (as seen here) or with some apple slices.  It’s just so good!

Cook Time: 7-8 hours
Total Time: 7-8 hours

Ingredients:

8 large apples, cored (can be peeled too, if desired)
2 tsp ghee (or coconut oil)
2 TBL cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a slow cooker.  Cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high 3-4 hours.  When ready, mash up mixture by hand or use an immersion blender.
