(WHOLE30, GLUTEN FREE, GRAIN FREE, DAIRY FREE, PALEO)

This chicken dinner is a winner!  It’s extremely easy to make, takes very little effort, and produces insanely delicious results.  I think most people love the Everything but the Bagel seasoning from Trader’s Joes by now.  It has gone viral the last year or so and for good reason; it’s absolutely delicious!  Imagine all the same flavors of an everything bagel (a gluten free bagel of course!) but on chicken instead.  Amazing, right?  I put this seasoning on everything from meats, eggs, and avocado… and now chicken!  The best part about this recipe is that it’s foolproof.  Super simple and straightforward.

I have made this in both my air fryer and my oven.  Both produced great results!  First, pat your chicken dry with paper towels.  This really allows the seasonings to stick to the chicken.  We will dredge each piece of chicken in a whisked egg before coating it in the seasoning.  Once all of the chicken tenders are seasoned, either add them to your air fryer or oven.  These cook for 10 minutes on each side, but I always cut into the thickest piece to make sure it’s fully cooked.

This chicken is packed full of savory and hearty flavors.  The seasoning gets nice and crispy while cooking and adds the perfect amount of crunch.  These fun and easy chicken tenders are perfect for a healthy and quick lunch or dinner. They’re easy enough for any weeknight and I love that they only require 3 ingredients.  They would be great on top of salads, served alongside sweet potato fries, or any way you prefer! Add some ketchup, BBQ sauce or buffalo sauce; you can’t go wrong!

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Course: Lunch, Dinner
Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

1.5 pounds chicken tenders
1 egg, whisked
1/2 cup Everything But The Bagel Seasoning

Directions:

AIR FRYER:

Using paper towels, pat chicken dry.

Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees and lightly spray basket with avocado or coconut oil.

In a shallow bowl, add whisked egg. In another shallow bowl, add your seasoning.

Take each piece of chicken and coat it first in the egg mixture then in the seasoning mixture.

Lay each piece of chicken in frying basket and bake for 10 minutes.  Flip and bake for another 10 minutes until chicken is cooked throughout.

Chicken will be done when no pink remains.  I suggest cutting into the thickest piece to ensure it’s cooked through.

Garnish with your favorite sauces and condiments (mine is this Whole30 ketchup)!

OVEN:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Using paper towels, pat chicken dry.

In a shallow bowl, add whisked egg. In another shallow bowl, add your seasoning.

Take each piece of chicken and coat it first in the egg mixture then in the seasoning mixture.

Lay each piece of chicken on baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.  Flip and bake for another 10 minutes until chicken is cooked throughout.

Chicken will be done when no pink remains.  I suggest cutting into the thickest piece to ensure it’s cooked through.

You may need a few extra minutes of baking time if your chicken is extra thick.
