These fun little smokies are the perfect appetizer or side dish.  They’re extremely easy to make (only 2 ingredients!) and they’re filled with warm and hearty flavors.  A great thing about this recipe is that it works well year round: it’s just as delicious and in season during Christmas as it is at the Fourth of July.  It’s so simple, bursting with flavor, and sure to become your new favorite!  And bonus: they take only about 5 minutes to prep, which makes them the perfect party food.  Just pop these in the oven and you can still focus on socializing.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

18 mini hot dogs (these are Whole30)
5-6 pieces of Whole30 Bacon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Cut each slice of bacon into 3 to 4 pieces (each piece should be about 2 inches long).

Wrap each mini hot dog in a piece of bacon and secure together with a toothpick.  Place smokies on a baking sheet.

Cook for 30 minutes, flipping after 15.  Optional: broil for 2-3 minutes at the end to get them extra crispy.  Keep your eye on them!
