Get the Recipe: 4 Ingredient Flourless Brownies

Dense, fudgy, and intensely chocolatey with a soft, almost molten center that holds its shape once cooled. Ripe banana provides all the sweetness, nut butter adds richness and fat, and dark chocolate chips melt through every square for deep chocolate flavor with no flour anywhere.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 ½ cups creamy all natural nut butter
  • ½ cup protein powder
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8 inch by 8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and protein powder. Stir until a dough is formed.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Transfer this mixture into the lined pan. Smooth into an even layer.
  • Bake for 18 to 21 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
  • Finally, remove the brownies from the oven. Allow them to cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Use all natural creamy nut butter. It should be made from only nuts and salt. I love peanut butter, almond butter, and cashew butter.
  • Use brown spotted ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • These brownies are meant to be gooey. Do not bake too long.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. After that, store in the fridge.
