Ingredients

Instructions 

  • First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, add the melted butter and sugar. Stir until creamy and frothy.
  • Then, add in the vanilla and egg. Stir to combine.
  • Add in the gluten free flour, milk, and sea salt. Stir until a sugar cookie dough forms.
  • Press this mixture into an even layer in the lined pan.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are very lightly golden and the middle still looks soft.
  • Remove from the oven. Once fully cooled, add frosting and sprinkles. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you are not gluten free, feel free to use the same amount of all purpose flour.
  • Do not bake too long.  The middle will still look a little soft and buttery.
  • Allow the bars to fully cool before adding the frosting.  The frosting will melt otherwise.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
