This protein mug cake takes just a few minutes to make! It is filled with wholesome and healthy ingredients but it tastes rich and decadent. This mini chocolate cake is easy to make and great for a quick dessert!

Ingredients

Instructions 

  • First, add all ingredients to a mug or ramekin. Reserve a few mini chocolate chips for after the mug cake is cooked.
  • Mix together.
  • Then, microwave on high for 60 seconds. Then, microwave in additional 10 second increments as needed.
  • Carefully remove the mug cake from the microwave. Immediately sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
  • Finally, serve!

Notes

  • If needed, replace oat flour with 3 tablespoons of almond flour.
  • Both vanilla and chocolate protein powder can be used.  For a rich chocolate flavor, use chocolate protein.
  • The chocolate chips are optional.  Feel free to omit.
  • Every microwave is different.  Yours may require slightly more or less baking time.
  • The mug or ramekin will be very hot.  Use an oven mitt when handling.
