This Paleo Apple Cobbler is incredibly flavorful, easy to make, and healthy! This gluten free cobbler has a sweet juicy apple filling and a delicious cobbler topping. It is easy enough to make for any occasion!

Bottom Layer

Cobbler Topping

Instructions 

  • First, preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Make the cobbler topping first. Add all cobbler topping ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir to combine.
  • Place cobbler topping in fridge while you make the bottom layer.
  • Peel, core and slice apples into 16 pieces. Then, add apples to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add all bottom layer ingredients to the bowl with the apple slices. Toss until apples are completely coated.
  • Lightly spray a pie plate with nonstick spray. Then, pour apple mixture into dish.
  • Remove cobbler topping from fridge. Form 4 or 5 discs of dough and place those on top of apples.
  • Place a sheet of aluminum foil lightly covering the pie dish. Do not press tin foil onto cobbler topping.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Then, carefully remove tin foil and bake an additional 5 minutes or until apples are fork tender.
  • Finally, remove from oven and serve!

Notes

  • Cobbler topping dough will be a little crumbly.  This is normal!
  • Slice apples into evenly sized pieces.
  • Toss apples and bottom layer ingredients until apples are completely covered.
  • Form cobbler topping dough into 4 or 5 evenly sized discs.
  • Bake until apples are fork tender.
