These super fun cookie monster cookies are thick, chocolaty and delicious! They are great for both kids and adults. Make these cookies for birthdays, holidays, and more!
First, preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add cold butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat for 2 to 3 minutes or until no clumps of butter remain.
Then, add in egg and vanilla. Stir to combine.
Add in flour, baking soda and baking powder. Stir until a thick dough is formed. Add in 4 to 5 drops of food coloring. Mix until dough is uniformly blue.
Fold in white chocolate chips and chocolate chips.
Scoop out balls of dough. Place on lined sheet and flatten with hands.
Then, place an Oreo in the middle of each flattened dough ball.
Place another small flattened ball of dough on top of the Oreo. Use hands to fully enclose Oreo with cookie dough.
Bake for 9 to 10 minutes or until the cookies look barely set.
Finally, remove from oven. Allow cookies to cool on pan for 5 minutes. Then carefully remove to a wire rack.
Notes
Use cold butter right from the fridge.
Beat butter and sugars until no clumps of butter remain.
The dough will be thick.
Feel free to use all white chocolate chips or all regular chocolate chips if desired.
I only used about 5 drops of blue food coloring for the cookies in these photos.
Fully enclose the Oreos with cookie dough. See photos above for reference.
Bake until the cookies look barely set. They firm up slightly at room temperature.
