  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Microwave for 4 minutes. Then, wait 1 minute.
  • Microwave for another 4 minutes.
  • Carefully remove bowl of eggs from microwave. Immediately add handful of ice cubes to bowl to create ice bath.
  • Allow eggs to remain in ice bath for 4 minutes.
  • Finally, remove all but 1 tablespoon of water from bowl. Shake bowl back and forth several times to gently break egg shells.

Notes

  • All microwaves are very different.
  • Please be extremely careful when handling the eggs.  They are extremely hot.  Please proceed at your own risk with caution.
  • The salt prevents the eggs from exploding in the microwave.  Do not omit salt.
  • For each additional egg, add ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Since all microwaves are different, cook times may alter slightly.
  • Use a microwave safe bowl that is fairly deep.
  • Use oven mitt when touching bowl.  It will become hot!
  • Store hard boiled eggs in the fridge for up to 7 days.
