  • ½ cup butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch sea salt
  • cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • First, heat treat the flour. Spread flour onto a parchment lined baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • In a stand mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar for 2 minutes or until no clumps of butter remain.
  • Add in heat treated flour, milk, vanilla and sea salt. Stir until combined.
  • Next, fold in mini chocolate chips.
  • Roll dough between hands into bite sized balls.
  • Finally, serve immediately or refrigerate.

Notes

  • Both gluten free 1 to 1 flour and all purpose flour work well.
  • Heat treat flour to remove any harmful bacteria.
  • Beat butter and sugars until no clumps of butter remain.
  • Regular sized chocolate chips work well too.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 7 days.
  • These freeze well!
