Vegan Salted Caramel Without Corn Syrup
This super easy Vegan Salted Caramel is smooth, creamy, and so delicious! It is made with just a few healthy ingredients and it is made without corn syrup. This peanut butter caramel is great on popcorn, ice cream, or by the spoonful!
Add all ingredients to a skillet over low medium heat.
Continue whisking for 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is thoroughly mixed.
Once sauce reaches desired consistency, remove from heat. This caramel will thicken the more it cooks.
Finally, pour into a jar.
Once sauce has cooled, place lid on jar and store.
Use creamy peanut butter that is made with ONLY peanuts. Peanut butter with added sugars or oils will yield much different results.
I highly recommend Teddy's creamy peanut butter .
If your peanut butter is salted, consider omitting the sea salt.
Continuously whisk to prevent burning.
Caramel sauce will thicken the longer it cooks. Turn off heat when desired consistency is reached.
Store at room temperature.
This sauce is delicious when stored in the fridge, but it will thicken up considerably. Allow to sit at room temperature before using.
This recipe yields approximately 1 cup of caramel sauce.
