This air fryer baked potato recipe is quick, easy, simple and straightforward! It is easier and quicker than baking in the oven. The potatoes have a salty crispy skin and soft fluffy inside. Great for a side dish!

Ingredients

Instructions 

  • First, wash and pat dry potatoes.
  • Use fork to pierce holes all over potatoes. Place in air fryer.
  • Spray potatoes generously with nonstick spray. Sprinkle sea salt all over the potatoes.
  • Air fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Carefully flip and air fry another 10 to 20 minutes. When potatoes are fork tender, they are done.
  • Finally, remove from air fryer. Carefully slice in half. Top with butter, sour cream, bacon or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Russet potatoes are the best for baked potatoes.
  • Different brands of air fryers have different levels of power.  You may need more or less time for this recipe.
  • In addition, larger potatoes will need longer to air fry.  Smaller potatoes will need less time.
  • This recipe is written for medium sized Russet potatoes.
  • Do not wrap in aluminum foil.
  • Potatoes are done when a fork inserted slides in and out easily.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
