Ingredients

Instructions

  • First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8 inch or 9 inch square pan with parchment paper.
  • Add butter to a skillet. Melt completely. Optional: continue stirring for 5 to 7 minutes to create brown butter. Set aside to cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, add melted butter and brown sugar. Stir to combine.
  • Then, add in eggs and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
  • Add in gluten free flour, baking powder and sea salt. Stir to combine.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter into lined pan.
  • Bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Finally, remove from oven. Allow blondies to cool fully before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Melt butter or make brown butter.  To make brown butter, add butter to a skillet over low medium heat.  Stir occasionally for 5 to 7 minutes or until butter has turned into a golden color.  Allow it to cool.
  • I have made these blondies with regular melted butter and with brown butter.  They are both great!  Brown butter creates more of a caramel, butterscotch flavor.
  • Bake blondies until toothpick inserted comes out clean.  They are meant to be gooey!
  • Allow them to completely cool before slicing into.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
  • These blondies are great in the fridge or freezer!
