Most nights I opt for a quick and easy dinner that can be made with ingredients I already have on hand.  This Whole30 BBQ Grilled Chicken is super simple and straightforward.  For this, I use my tried and true favorite Whole30 BBQ sauce.  It has clean and wholesome ingredients without any added sugar but is not lacking in flavor!  For this chicken, I used my indoor grill which is super convenient and easy to use.  An outdoor grill or a grilling pan on the stovetop would work well too.  An important step in this recipe is to pound out the chicken breasts.  I always do this before baking or grilling chicken for a couple reasons.  First, it helps to make the thickness of the chicken consistent throughout.  This helps the chicken cook evenly throughout.  Second, it really makes the chicken so much more tender and less tough.  I like to place the chicken between two pieces of parchment paper and taking my handy dandy meat pounder and lightly pounding the chicken.  I prefer my chicken to be about 1/2 inch thick.  After that, I sprinkle sea salt and pepper over the chicken then add the BBQ sauce before grilling.  I love the Whole30 BBQ sauce because it doesn’t contain added sugar, so it doesn’t burn when grilled.  Since I pound my chicken somewhat thin, I typically grill for about 4-5 minutes each side.  I always slice into the biggest piece to make sure it’s cooked through completely.  Pair this grilled chicken with sweet potato fries, roasted veggies or your favorite salad!  Easy, well loved, and perfect for any occasion!

4 chicken breasts
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp sea salt
3 TBL Whole30 BBQ Sauce


Preheat grill to 400 degrees.  Spray with avocado oil if necessary (my indoor grill is nonstick).

Between two sheets of parchment paper, pound out chicken breasts.

Sprinkle each piece of chicken with salt and pepper.  Spread BBQ sauce on both sides of chicken.

Grill for 4-5 minutes per side or until completely cooked through.

Serve with sweet potato fries or your favorite side dish!
